Hanaa

Hello, my name is Hanaa, and I’m currently a second-year English Literature student in University! I’ve recently completed a gap-year after undertaking my A-Levels in English Literature, Media Studies, and Psychology, graduating with A*A*A*.

Tutoring Experience

As a Psychology GCSE peer-mentor during my time at Sixth Form, I was able to experience firsthand the way in which specific content and approaches engage different students. This one-on-one time allowed me to learn a valuable lesson; there is no ‘correct’ way to learn. I've also since taken on external tuition and seen genuine improvement in my tutees.

Tutoring Approach

I believe that the best approach you can take in tutoring is to adapt and listen. Specifically, I fully intend to work from what the student needs; in our first pre-lesson meeting, I’d like to get an idea of their goals, areas of weakness, and a summarised timeline of important exams etc. This way, we can efficiently target the most pressing aspects of the subject and ensure they have a holistic understanding of their subject.
