Master of Law, first-class English degree from The University of Nottingham, gained a grade 9 with FULL MARKS in my English Literature GCSE and an A* at A-level. I absolutely love teaching and sharing all the tips I have learnt throughout my school life and hope I can make a positive impact on your child’s education. Being younger than your average tutor, I pride myself on being able to empathize with my students. I often find it helps them to know I have been through what they are going through in the recent past. It also means I have all of my tried and tested revision notes ready to share!

Tutoring Experience

Over 5 years GCSE and A-Level tutoring experience including children with special needs. I have a very good understanding of the exam system, how examiners mark and what they look for. I have a strong awareness that every child is their own individual and therefore, will equip your child with the tools they specifically need to thrive. I have helped students improve by TWO GRADES in less than a year.

I have a great deal of experience teaching content from all of the major exams boards, for English Language and Literature: AQA, Edexcel/Pearson, WJEC/Eduqas.

Tutoring Approach

I am a very adaptable person and can alter my teaching approach to suit each child’s needs. I am fully aware that some children are more visual learners, some auditory and others are kinaesthetic, so I can work with them to find out what is best for them. We can go through exam questions, practice essays, make mind maps or flash cards; whatever is best for your child. I will prepare examplar essay answers of all different levels so we can go through the positive and negatives of each answer and how that can be used in exam situations.
