I have been teaching for over 15 years at schools including Westminster, Charterhouse and Cheltenham Ladies' College. I have taught in single sex (boys and girls) and co-educational establishments and have a wealth of teaching experience.
In my many years in the teaching profession, I have been a teacher of History, Politics, Religious Studies and English. I have taught a range of syllabi as well as qualifications: I have been involved with the IB, taught the Cambridge Pre U, and A level. This diversity of subjects and qualifications highlights how much expertise I have with preparing pupils for examinations.
Most importantly however, the connecting thread throughout these courses has been my individual attention to pupils’ interests. This can be seen especially with respect to advising coursework, and through my subject mentoring. In History, I have become an A level coursework adviser, personally supervising projects from both the IB and A level courses. At Westminster, I gave weekly History Oxbridge sessions to Westminster pupils, as well as to pupils from local state schools. Westminster School has consistently held one of the highest Oxbridge success rates in the country, and I learnt much from my time teaching there about how to prepare applications.
I am now a professional tutor and consultant. I prepare pupils for school entrance and scholarship papers. I also advise parents on the school admissions process along with other educational matters.
