Hello! My name is Harminder. I am currently a 5th year university student studying Pharmacy (MPharm) at University of Reading.

Tutoring Experience

I have 8 years of tutoring experience both face to face and online and have helped students achieve their offer requirements and target universities. All of my previous tutees have experienced at least one grade increase since they started tutoring with me. I am patient, engaging, and hardworking, with plenty of experience, and so I am able to аdаpt to the student's needs. I know that every student is different and has different learning styles, which is why I will initially work with the student and their pаrent (if necessary) to help the student receive the most benefit from our sessions. I also offer extra support via email if students want to ask me any questions.

Tutoring Approach

I am committed to my students, following their specific exam board and teaching the content in advance to give them enough time for revision and exam practice before exams. Having sat the new A-level curriculum myself, I fully understand the content and exam technique, and I have plenty of resources, exam packs, and notes to share. I generally start sessions with a 5-10 minute question-based recap in an effort to keep all topics fresh. If a student is struggling with an answer, I prefer to offer prompts and guide them to it, rather than simply telling them the answer. As a young tutor, I can connect quite easily with my students and I always make sure that my students are comfortable and understand the material fully before proceeding further and I have found students confidence grow as the exams have come closer and for those students who are nervous or wоrried by upcoming exаms, I will ensure that this is no longer аn issue by exam day.
