I’m an aspiring veterinary student with a love for mathematics and Japanese. When I was 16 I studied abroad in Japan and excelled in maths lessons and exams at a local Japanese high school (all in Japanese). I would love to share my knowledge and passion of mathematics to help others along the way.
I have recently finished sixth form after studying biology, chemistry, and maths as A levels. I received an A* in my year 9 mathematics GCSE exam and a level 9 in my year 10 and 11 mathematics GCSE exams at secondary school. I tutored GCSE students in person during my a level studies as well.
I like my lessons to be friendly and interactive—I encourage discussion and for the student to have a voice in their own learning to promote effective progress. I am able to provide lessons tailored to suit the need of both primary and/or secondary students. Communication is important; I like to explore with the student any topics they feel they would like to work on—if they are unsure I will encourage them to work through a practice paper that I will provide them with and star any questions they feel might catch them out in the real thing. This way we have a clear starting point and can continue to develop future lessons structured around these knowledge gaps. I feel that exam practice alongside fundamental knowledge of processes and methods are key when approaching examinations.
