I am a qualified English teacher, currently working in a top performing school in the North East of England. I have been teaching for thirteen years and tutoring for ten. Prior to teaching, I was a qualified solicitor for six years, working within family law.
My aim for tutoring is to raise the confidence of all my students and have a positive impact on their whole education.
My experience includes working across a number of schools in England, some of which were very challenging. I have taught a variety of English courses from the main exam boards including AQA, Edexcel and WJEC. I am also an examiner for AQA.
Prior to teaching English, I was a Solicitor and also have experience of teaching both A level Law and Degree level.
My approach to teaching and tutoring is to provide fun and engaging lessons for pupils, whilst also ensuring they are working to their best ability.
I aim to add value to the tutoring experience that goes beyond them simply learning English. The value I bring to your child is making them feel better about their understanding of the subject, raise their confidence when completing homework, create an opportunity for further study, possibly attend a better university due to academic grades, and help them to flourish and realise their potential.
