I am a qualified Psychology teacher and experienced examiner, with a strong passion for supporting students at GCSE, A-Level, and BTEC level. In addition to Psychology, I have taught and have extensive experience across a range of social science subjects including Sociology and Health & Social Care.

I have also been tutoring English Language and Literature for over 8 years, working with students from KS2 through to GCSE level.

As a fluent Arabic speaker, I have also supported many students in preparing for their Arabic GCSE exams.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring students for 9 years and have taught Psychology, as well as elements of Sociology and Health & Social Care, across two different schools. Throughout this time, I’ve helped many students meet and exceed their target grades by building their confidence and deepening their understanding of key topics. I’m also an experienced examiner, which gives me strong insight into what examiners look for, something I use to guide students in how to structure their answers and gain marks effectively.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching style is centered on building exam skills, understanding mark schemes, and mastering techniques to gain marks, rather than just focusing on content. I believe that success in exams comes from knowing how to approach questions, structure answers effectively, and meet the specific criteria set by examiners. I also provide practical tips on effective revision strategies, helping students retain information and manage their study time efficiently. My goal is to make students not only knowledgeable but also exam-ready.

I believe that every student learns differently, and one-to-one tuition gives me the opportunity to adapt each lesson to suit their individual needs. I always aim to create a positive, supportive environment where students feel confident and motivated to learn. Seeing students grasp difficult concepts or succeed in their exams is the most rewarding part of what I do.
