My name is Hawra, I am currently a primary school teacher, and have been tutoring for over seven years. My academic achievements were challenging; I set myself high ambitions to achieve a 2.1 in my legal degree.
In my free time, I tutor students a range of subjects in the following year groups:
- Primary (KS1 & KS2): English, Maths, and Science.
- Secondary (KS3- years 7, 8 and 9): English, Maths, Science.
- GCSE: English Language, English Literature, RE, and essay-based subjects.
- A-Levels: English Literature and Language, Philosophy/RE, Politics, Law.
- Adult learners and beginners: Arabic and English.
As a teacher and tutor with extensive skills in legal and teaching fields, I have found teaching to be most gratifying. I have pushed children from all learning capacities to pursue their potentials - including children with learning difficulties, weak abilities and low confidence.
My students follow my mantra that no dream is too big in order to unwind their doubts. I teach my students not to be afraid of failure but to face weaknesses with an open mind, determined to fill the gaps in their knowledge. In my years of being a student and a teacher, I have learnt self-doubt prevents a student from acting upon their ambitions because they do not hear encouraging words. Thus, every lesson I make it my obligation to coach my students. I inform them that they are more than capable of surpassing the impossibilities they have set in their minds and they are deserving of achieving great things. With my approach, I have found that together, my students and I, have pushed bars incredibly high. My availabilities are weekday evenings and Sunday afternoons. I am fairly flexible with my hours but also run a very busy schedule.
