I tutor mathematics and statistics to students of all ages.

I'm currently furthering my own studies too, with a PhD in Statistics following an MSc in Statistics and MA (Hons) in Mathematics at the Universities of St Andrews and Sheffield.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 15 years of tutoring experience. I have tutored students preparing for STEP, A-Level and GCSEs in mathematics, as well as for the GMAT, GRE and SAT maths exams, AP Calculus (AB/BC) and AP Statistics, university-specific entrance exams, and to complement students' in-school studies. I help students revise their Internal Assessments (IA) and Extended Essays (EE) in Mathematics for the IB.

I have taught Mathematics and Statistics in a variety of undergraduate and secondary school environments since 2010, teaching a wide variety of curricula, as well as authoring my own courses. I am also an examiner for the IB, in both their maths examinations, Internal Assessments and Extended Essays.

Tutoring Approach

I adore the subject, and love being able to pass this passion onto others! I use plain, easy-to-understand language to explain concepts, and build on the student's existing knowledge to move forward.

My years of experience teaching students who find maths difficult has meant I understand where common challenges lie when studying maths. I have written and taught courses on a wide range of topics from numeracy in everyday life to mathematical logic, histories of maths and open exploration tasks.
