Ian

My name is Ian, I'm a tutor for primary school children of all abilities, specialising in English and Mathematics across Key Stage 2. I also provide tuition for Eleven Plus exams in maths, English, verbal and non-verbal reasoning. I'm available for 1:1 tutoring or group tutoring. I'm a fully qualified teacher, with 10 years experience, having qualified with a Bachelor of Education degree in Ireland. I'm currently a head of year in a Lambeth primary school.

Private 1:1 tuition can provide your child with a great opportunity to consolidate learning done in school, while also filling in gaps in knowledge. It can also play a critical part in preparing your child sufficiently for secondary education and giving them a headstart. Ian has a lovely manner - he explains concepts really well and coaches very effectively. My son is enjoying his sessions and makes no complaints about doing the homework tasks - so I don’t think you can ask for more from a tutor! I have no hesitation in highly recommending Ian

We found Ian to be extremely reliable, punctual and flexible with his time. His communication was always first class and he couldn't do enough for us in terms of preparation, homework and fitting us in around our busy schedule. He built a great rapport with our son as he prepared for Eleven Plus exams and we found that through 1:1 sessions in both English and maths, he made rapid progress. He also tutors our daughter who is in Year 5 and building to Eleven Plus and we couldn't recommend him highly enough.
