I'm a 22 year old University student who is confident that I can help your child understand anything that they're finding difficult to keep up with at school. I do everything to ensure that those around me feel satisfied with their treatment and I am certain that my skills and experience can be of direct benefit to your child.
I can teach all subjects up to GCSE level, and for GCSE level and higher please message me to find out if i can teach your child a specific subject as firsttutors won't allow me to upload more than 6 subjects. I also tutor children for the 11+.

Tutoring Experience

• My educational background at a well-ranked grammar school has instilled a high level of competence in me since we were expected to work hard and constantly produce results. I can therefore meet the high standards expected in this job. I am very friendly and since I am proficient in the English language and grammar, I am good at finding ways to explain things in a manner that is easy to understand for school students.
• In my recent position as a tutor, I was responsible for maintaining a high level of organisation and communication for the satisfaction of my students.
• I have had a lot of social experience through travelling, so communication comes naturally to me.

Tutoring Approach

On the initial session with a student i try to gage their level of understanding by asking a few general questions surrounding the topic and then by asking them to list all the areas they aren't so confident in.
Over the weeks, as their confidence grows, we will cover these topics from 'easiest to hardest'.
I use questions and examples to check the students understanding continually. I like to make sure my student doesn't feel as though they should dread our sessions, more rather look forward to them.

I like to use practice papers so students become familiar with them and know what to expect in exams.
