I’m a 28 year old primary school teacher living and working in SW London. I love teaching and working with children, and have a positive and friendly approach. Outside of school I enjoy exercising, reading, cooking, exploring new places and spending time with my friends and family.
I’ve been a teacher for 6 years. I studied English Language at the University of Reading, where I volunteered in local primary schools as part of a reading scheme, and spent a summer in Thailand teaching English as a foreign language. I then went to the University of East Anglia to complete my PGCE in Primary Education. I taught children in Year 1, 3 and 5 before moving to London. Since then, I have taught Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 across 2 diverse state schools.
I have also led KS1 as well as Maths and PSHE across the school and am committed to further development to benefit student success.
My teaching approach is positive and supportive. Children in my classes feel cared for and respected and my friendly nature helps them to adopt a love of learning, which allows them to make fantastic progress. I aim to make learning fun with clear goals and motivations, in an age appropriate way. I am open minded towards education, and am always keen to try out new, researched strategies to help all children to flourish.
