My name is James and I live by the coast in the North East with my wife and two children. I moved from London 10 years ago and have loved the change. I enjoy running and paddleboarding in the local areas.
I have worked across a number of different schools in the North East, with a current role as Assistant Principal in a school in central Newcastle. During this time, I have taught across a range of exam boards and qualifications. I specialise in OCR GCSE Business, Edexcel A-Level Business and CNAT Enterprise and Marketing with a number of years experience in marking and moderating for the exam boards.
I focus on targeting the requirements of the students based on their academic knowledge and so the sessions will be tailored to the students own understanding of their improvement areas. Quantitative elements of the courses are often problematic, so these tend to be areas that I focus on. I am passionate in recognising the gaps in students’ understanding of exam technique to maximise their marks and so these will also be addressed.
