Hi! My name is James, and I am a freelance writer and journalist with a BA in English Language an Literature. I am deeply passionate about reading, writing and the arts, and look forward to helping tutees Secondary to IB/A Level unlock that same passion.

Tutoring Experience

Though I am new to private tutoring - a fact reflected in my pricing - my experiences as a freelance writer, and my ability to cater language for a given audience or topic, give me a unique position from which to break down a sometimes-difficult subject into easily understandable ideas and approaches.

Tutoring Approach

I am a calm and patient tutor, aiming to help tutees improve their results through discovering and developing a passion for language and literature. English can often seem inaccessible to some, whether by virtue of a language barrier or ostensibly uninspiring source material. My approach is to to assist tutees in finding the parts of the subject they enjoy, alongside helping them to understand the assignments at hand - enabling them to engage with the subject more readily, and improve their grades in the process.
