James was a real lifeline for our daughter starting her alevel RS at a school with a very poor provision of teaching. He saw her through her 2 year syllabus and through covid online with the utmost professionalism and patience. She would not have achieved the grades without James guidance and support. I cannot praise him enough.

I cannot recommend James more highly! My daughter was feeling very overwhelmed with the huge content of the RS A level curriculum in the second year of her studies. She lacked confidence in how to write an essay and was working at a C (at best) at Christmas when she sat her mock examination. James turned this around. He gave her confidence and extended her knowledge way beyond what was possible in class. His style was supportive and challenging, never moving on until he felt she understood the material. At some points she went out of her comfort zone which brought her on to achieve an A* grade - 3 grades above what she had anticipated. Well done James and thank you from us all!!

James is a truly exceptional tutor and mentor. My daughter is finding his support towards her RS A-level absolutely invaluable. James structures his sessions around the student and sets relevant and targeted work, which has helped my daughter to improve in areas she is finding more challenging. We would not hesitate to recommend James. He truly is the best and most highly experienced RS tutor we could have found.

James is an excellent tutor - professional, reliable and incredibly knowledgeable. Usually, my son would much rather have been playing sport than studying, but he really enjoyed their sessions and thanks to James, he was well prepared for his A level.

James has been extremely helpful so far. Very prompt to respond to messages and very reliable. My daughter has had a couple of sessions with him so far and has not only enjoyed what they have done but been inspired and energised by the discussions. He was quick to identify what she needed, has spoken to her on her level, and stretched and challenged her thought processes. She is looking forward to booking another session with him soon. Very glad we found him.

James demonstrated expert knowledge of the Religious Studies A Level specification and exam content during the trial session. He taught our daughter in a friendly and approachable way, so she felt relaxed and able to openly respond to his teaching, both answering his well-chosen questions and asking him when she was unsure. She feels excited to learn with him as she has already felt the benefit from this first session - she gained confidence and can see the difference he's going to make. His teaching methods are very clear and organised, which is essential for my daughter as she has dyslexia. We are looking forward to him continuing to inspire our daughter with his enthusiasm for the subject and his skillful approach to engaging his students.

James is excellent as a Philosophy tutor for my son, who has told me that James explains topics very well and that the lessons are both thought-provoking and enjoyable. By helping my son get more organised in his studies, James has made him feel much more confident in the subject. I highly recommend James as a Philosophy tutor.

James is a knowledgeable and supportive tutor. He has been great at helping my son with his A-level Philosophy (Pre-u ) My son is keen to continue his lessons with James and is looking forward to gaining more and more confidence and ability along the way. We would highly recommend James.

We are very pleased so far with James: he is pro-active and extremely knowledgeable, and thoughtful about how best to help our daughter. Her sessions with him are really making her think and his advice is making her feel much more confident about her RE A level.

The 1-1 sessions are going well so far. Will enjoys the interactive quality of the teaching as this is how he best learns. Your communication is great and the detailed follow-up homework plans are very useful.
