I am a first year undergraduate student of Mathematics at Imperial College London. I completed my IB diploma in 2022, scoring the top grade - 7 - in my 6 subjects, including Higher Level Maths. I have consistently been a high achiever, ranking as the top student in my year on many occasions. I am interested in tutoring maths because I would love to inspire someone else to persist with the subject and look at studying it in higher education like I am.
I discovered my love of maths at a young age, and have since always set high expectations for myself, and so was able to achieve full marks in nearly all my maths mock examinations.
My other passions include music: I have achieved 4 grade 8s and a diploma, and swimming.
Because of my exam results I was asked by my school to act as a maths and physics tutor for all levels throughout the school, while I completed my studies. I have also tutored privately in GCSE-level mathematics.
This would vary based on the individual. My core teaching philosophy is that time is usually best spent ensuring all the fundamentals are in place before tackling more challenging problems and past paper questions. I would always be willing to go through any questions a student might have but would also feel comfortable working through the curriculum as well, with a focus on whichever topics the student currently felt they would like to explore. I would also be open to reviewing/marking work outside of the given hours.
