My name is Jasspreet, I am 30 years old and currently a doctor (graduated from King’s College London) working in North West London. I additionally have a biomedical Sciences degree (St George’s University London).
I have 5+ years of tutoring experience. I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching and it has been a great way for me to supplement my medical career. I have seen through many of my students through to their exams and get just as excited in their success as they do. I have additionally taught as part of my degree and work as a doctor to my colleagues and am equally comfortable in teaching young and older children.
I like to begin by assessing areas in the subject that the student struggles with. This allows me to get a better idea of concepts and areas that need work so I can ensure that these areas are reinforced throughout. I then like to cater my teaching style to the student, using a mix of teaching and questions throughout. I use a variety of different media to ensure that there is always the option to teach using interactive websites and videos for students that are more visual learners. It also ensures that I have access to a variety of questions in lessons. I like to break up lessons to ensure that students stay focused throughout. I have experience using a variety of different exam boards and am comfortable with following the syllabus and supplementing with useful and related material.
