I am passionate and reliable teacher, with a commitment to working with young people. I have an infectious enthusiasm for History and I endeavour to encourage all my pupils to develop a love of learning.

Tutoring Experience

I am a fully qualified teacher of History, with 8 years experience working in a mixed comprehensive school. I worked as Head of Year 11 for 4 years, responsible for all intervention programmes for over 250 students. Ensuring their academic outcomes were maximised. I have always achieved above average results & many of my students have gone on to study History at Oxford and Cambridge. I have worked as a private tutor for over 10 years and I am committed to helping students achieve their utmost potential. I am exam board trained and have worked with students of all abilities. I have an up to date DBS and I am also trained in working with SEND and ESL.

Tutoring Approach

I have a student led approach to teaching, focusing on working with the student to highlight their strengths and develop any areas of weakness. I am approachable and have a great sense of humour, which I always try to incorporate into my pedagogy.
