I am currently a Biology Teacher at Latymer Upper School in my eighth year of teaching. I am a graduate in Biological Sciences from Oxford University and have completed an MSc in Plant Diversity at Reading University. I am a dedicated, enthusiastic, hard-working individual. I have a passion for science and conservation biology in particular. I strongly believe in education as a way to improve people's lives.
Teacher of Biology: Latymer Upper School (January 2021 - Present)
Biology Teacher: Kingston Grammar School (September 2017 – December 2020)
- I have taught every year group at secondary level including classes all the way through their GCSEs and A Levels.
- I have taught across all ability levels and have achieved excellent results in throughout.
- I have taught biology for both Double and Triple Science GCSEs.
- I have also led Oxbridge mentoring sessions in preparation for interviews.
I like a 1-on-1 approach as I think this allows a personalised method of teaching for each tutee. I will concentrate on details and refining technique as well as broadening general knowledge of each subject. I am friendly and ensure that the tutoring I do in tailored to the way each individual learns.
During term time I will only be available some evenings and weekends, not daytime.
