I have extensive experience of teaching the Sciences to student in schools and colleges, as well as private tuition. I have a friendly and relaxed approach, and I aim to achieve an in depth understanding of the requirements of the student at an early stage.
I will cover the areas of Doncaster, Leeds, Bradford and York.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught Science, predominantly Chemistry, in the private sector for nearly 40 years. I am now semi-retired. My results in all subjects have been consistently very good, often exceeding expectations. I am thoroughly familiar with the requirements of the examination boards, and with the techniques necessary in order to be successful in public examinations.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring is to ensure that I cater for individual needs of the student and hence gain their confidence at an early stage. I try to ensure that students have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the course content and are then well practised in being able to apply it effectively in examination situations. Worksheets, books and past examination material are supplied as an integral part of the lesson. My aim is to ensure that I cater for the individual needs of the student, building on their strengths and attending to any weaknesses and giving them confidence in their own abilities.
