I have a son at Newcastle University. I have held various roles , mainly in sales and recruitment. I am an excellent communicator, very well rounded, well travelled. I read extensively, I studied literature, I like music, film, theatre, sport.Tutoring is a new focus for me. I have been teaching abroad, but now need to be in the UK to help care for my elderly mother.
I completed the CELTA course in March 2023. Since then I have taught in 'medium schools' in Jaipur, India and Zanzibar., and neighbourhood projects in Delhi.When I was 24 I taught in Galicia Spain, all ages, schoolchildren, businessmen, politicians. Before the CELTA course I was a head of recruitment and training at an events company in Manchester. I held various sales roles in London, New York and San Francisco.
I have a relaxed, friendly approach. I am very patient. I am also methodical in preparing lessons and adapting to the needs oof the student. Many of my previous students have noted that I have very natural, conversational spoken English with particular clarity and easily understood pronunciation.
