I tutor in French and Philosophy and I have a degree from the Sorbonne, Paris in philosophy.
I have published one philosophical book 'Understanding Time' (Imagier Press, 2016). I have two daughters . In my spare time I like to read French literature and philosophical works.
I am retired now but my main career was as a Technical Author. This meant contract work,. often lengthy, in seven European countries including over two years in France. I
My main teaching experience is giving small classes or individual tuition from manuals prepared by myself as part of my contract work.. On a private basis, especially since retirement, I have given individual tuition in French and Philosophy to,both adults and teenagers.
My approach is to set agreed goals and to work together with the student on achieving them. I have no dogmatic rules for a teaching approach and will adapt it to ensure that each individual achieves the maxiimum benefit. Howver, although I am flexible there is a core framework to my teaching to which any variations must conform to. If students wish to know these in advance I shall supply them.
