I am a 22-year-old recent University of Bath graduate, heading into a teacher training year at Tiffin School in Kingston-upon-Thames. Although an Economics graduate, I received A*A* in my Maths and Further Maths A-Levels as well as an A* in my Maths GCSE, which I completed early. I am originally from North Wales but have spent time living around the country completing internships in Edinburgh and London for Lloyds Bank. Previous to that I also spent time working in politics professionally and undertaking parliamentary internships in a voluntary capacity. I am a keen volleyball and tennis player, as well as a cross-country runner. I am eager to help others learn and would love the chance to take on new students and teach online!
I am in the process of undertaking a Teacher Training programme at Tiffin School in Kingston-upon-Thames, which boasts one of the best mathematics departments in the country. Furthermore, I have been a volleyball coach in the past and spent three years of my degree working part-time as a carer for a man with special needs.
My teaching approach involves lots of examples, interactive learning and discussion rather than lecturing. I prefer to have mutual respect between myself and the student so we can both work hard to achieve the student's goals. I am patient but focused and like to make sure that we go through plenty of practise questions and mock papers to reinforce understanding and ensure as a student you achieve the best possible grade.
