Hi, I'm Jordan! I'm currently an MSc student at the University of Edinburgh studying Particle & Nuclear Physics, and I am offering tuition from secondary to University level, delivered in-person and online.

It is my aim to offer a dedicated service to people who want to gain more confidence and skill in maths, and I strive to deliver high quality tuition. I offer help in:

I'm originally from the States (Louisville, Kentucky), and I've been loving the past few years in the UK! I enjoy hiking, hillwalking, reading, and playing music when I can.

Tutoring Experience

I have several years experience in teaching maths and science classes at the Kentucky Science Center, as well as teaching calculus summer camps at the University of Bellarmine for high school students. Likewise, I also have experience in public outreach and science communication.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching is for students of all levels of ability. I adapt my teaching methods to fit each individual, using a mix of practical exercises, real-world examples, and interactive tools to make learning math not just educational, but exciting. It is my goal to make sure that students understand the material in ways that make sense to them. I'm here to help, so just let me know what you need assistance with and I'll do my best to provide a clear and helpful response!

In my approach to teaching I like to go over problem-solving techniques, a review of basic maths, how to approach certain problems, and the importance of routine practice.

For online tuition I use Zoom and learning aids such as Desmos, GeoGebra, Wolfram Alpha, and graphing calculators.
