Hello there, I am Joseph from Hong Kong, currently studying MA (Hons) Modern History and International Relations at the University of St Andrews. I did Physics (A), History (A), Chinese language (A), English language (A*), Mathematics (A), and Music (A) at the Hong Kong Diplomacy of Secondary Education Examination (equivalent to British A-Levels). Although I have not been doing the British exams, I will be able to help you out with theories and all that of the syllabus and help you better prepare for your examinations.
I am also proficient at various musical instruments - while my major instruments are Viola (ATCL), Violin (ATCL) and Piano (ATCL), I can also play Cello (Grade 8) and Clarinet (Grade 8), and teach music theory up to Grade 5 level (personally attained Grade 8).
I have been tutoring kids since 2012, have been a music (instrumental) teacher at a local music centre in Hong Kong, and currently drumming instructor at the Dundee Sea Cadet Corps.
I will be improving my students' skills by constant practice and exercises (provided, with feedback and explanations), explaining complicated theories in an easy way using various examples, and reducing a vast syllabus into simplified study notes with various highlights and reminders.
