I am a recently retired teacher and a mum. I love seeing children grow in confidence as they understand new ideas and make progress in their learning.

Tutoring Experience

I've taught students from Primary 1 to Primary 7 in Scottish primary schools for 25 years. I have also taught overseas, both in primary classes and teacher training. Research into teaching methods, particularly into phonics in reading, has underpinned my teaching.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching incorporates initial and ongoing assessment to ensure that I can meet students specific needs and help them to move on in their learning. A variety of practical activities, discussion and IT exercises are used to develop and reinforce skills.
