After many successful years as a classroom teacher and school manager, I am now using my wealth of knowledge, energy and experience to focus on helping students to achieve their full potential in English Language and English Literature via one-to-one or small group tuition. I adore literature and am able to make books live for students.

Tutoring Experience

I am a highly experienced teacher and school manager having held numerous posts of responsibility in schools in Kent, Bristol, London and overseas. I have enjoyed roles as Head of Year, Head of English and Head of Creative Arts. I have also been Head of Sixth Form with responsibilty for pastoral and academic standards, and a particular emphasis on university application and the UCAS process. I am delighted to have been awarded 'Kent Teacher of the Year'. I have trained teachers in the skill of making Shakespeare accessible and fun.

I am an energetic, enthusiastic, creative and highly supportive practitioner. Students always refer to my encouraging and 'can do' style. I have high standards and the knack of giving students joy and confidence in their study of English. Their success is my success. I am known for ensuring that all students reach their potential.
