I am a qualified primary teacher with over 16 years experience and now work as a tutor full time. My position before this was as an Assistant Head in a primary school and I have also held the roles of Key Stage 2 Team Leader and Maths Subject Leader.

I have a wealth of experience having taught children with a range of different needs and from various backgrounds. My knowledge of the Primary Curriculum and SATs is up-to-date.

I really enjoy tutoring children 1:1 as the lessons can really focus in on topics and areas that the individual child needs support with. 1:1 lessons also enable you to get to know your students well and quickly build a rapport with them. I feel that this leads to a greater enjoyment of learning and success.

Tutoring Experience

Tutoring Approach

My aim is to help children fulfil their potential by teaching them in a patient, supportive, enthusiastic, fun and engaging way. I take great pride in the delivery of sessions and adapt them to each child's needs in terms of contents and length. Lessons consist of a range of interactive activities including powerpoints, whiteboard based exercises, games and online activities.
