Hello! I'm a private tutor who achieved a UCAT score of 3360 Band 1 (in the top < 0.1% of all test takers), and who has recieved 4/4 medical school offers, including from Cambridge and Edinburgh. I believe that a large proportion of my success was due to my unique and in-depth way of researching the university application process and entrance exams.
My results at GCSE were eight 9s and three 8s (11 subjects), and my A-level predicted grades have consistently been A*A*A* in Biology, Chemistry and Maths.
Those who have just been through the cycle, and specifically those who have excelled and researched, are the best placed out of anyone to advise on medicine entry.
Having the breadth of knowledge to help anyone who is doing an application. I.e. from the ability to show people how to research medical / scientific topics for their personal statement, as I did, to being able to support people if they are interested in mentioning medical ethics in their application - as I did an extended project in medical ethics, and then applied to the cambridge college that contains the university lead for the medical ethics lectures, being interviewed by her and others before gaining a place.
