Hi! My name is Karen. I have recently completed a degree in MSc Pharmaceutical Formulation and Entrepreneurship at University College London (Distinction), and have graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in BSc Biotechnology. I have completed A-Levels in Biology, Psychology and Chemistry.

Tutoring Experience

Currently tutoring A-Level, IB and GCSE Biology remotely. I have 350+ hours experience of teaching biology to IB, AS and A-Level students both in the UK and internationally.

Tutoring Approach

I would like to strengthen the knowledge of students by taking a tailored method in teaching exam techniques and knowledge application in a way that is individualised to the needs of each student, which is of great importance in future academic studies. Due to the current situation with COVID-19, I will be offering online tuition using Skype or Zoom with a range of digital teaching tools. I can support my students by tutoring topics in accordance with the timeline of their course syllabus, or by focusing on previous challenging areas or future topics to be covered. I will offer the student examination revision sessions, including end of topic tests and mock exams based on multiple topics studied. Also, my students will be provided with feedback on their study performance, as well as weekly or fortnightly tasks to complete outside of tutoring sessions which can be marked and discussed together.
