I'm an energetic, enthusiastic and experienced Head of English — I love helping students to succeed.

Tutoring Experience

I'm a former head of English, with over 12 years' experience as a GCSE and A-level English Literature and Language teacher and tutor. I've worked in education throughout my career, including at AQA for 6 years, as well as in educational publishing where I've created outstanding learning resources to help students to achieve their potential.

I am also examiner trained. I know the AQA GCSE and A-level specifications best but I am also used to working with a range of other exam boards.

Tutoring Approach

I develop my students' skills and confidence by focusing on exam skills and tips, including how to plan answers and write paragraphs effectively.

Each session will be varied, fun and engaging, and I'll try to find an approach that works for you so you can quickly improve and start to feel more confident. I'm a kind and supportive teacher, dedicated to helping you achieve your potential!

My hourly rate includes the time I spend planning for each tutoring session and creating targeted learning resources to support my students.
