I’m a dedicated and friendly tutor with a passion for helping young learners grow in confidence and achieve their full potential. I specialise in primary level education, supporting children in subjects such as English, maths, and reading. With a patient and encouraging approach, I tailor each session to suit individual learning styles, making lessons both fun and effective. Whether your child needs help catching up or wants to be challenged further, I’m here to support their learning journey every step of the way.
From the age of 3, I began travelling the world with my parents, living in countries such as Australia, India and Egypt, soaking up all the world had to offer. Although I still love travelling and experiencing different cultures I am a true Devon girl, the countryside and outdoors is my happy place. I now live on our family farm with my husband, two children and dog. Being a mum, teaching and farming give me so much pleasure I couldn't imagine life any other way!
I have 10 years experience of working in school, during that time, I was head of Geography, English and reading as well as teaching all primary aged year groups. I have working with children with varying needs and have learned to adapt my teaching and approach accordingly.
I am a calm, caring and patient person who loves helping children learn and achieve their full potential. From building trusting and nurturing relationships with pupils, I am able to understand their needs and tailor my lessons accordingly. I believe in setting clear boundaries and expectations but understand the need for flexibility to suit a pupil's learning style and character. Through careful and thought out planning I am able to help children make academic progress and build their confidence.
