Maths Teacher in Witham

I am currently a working mother to three children. I live in a small village with a wonderful community of friends and neighbours. I enjoy the simple pleasures in life such as walking and spending time in my garden and with my family. I have three chickens and a tortoise who have taken over the garden but give us such delight in watching them mill around with their different personalities.

Tutoring Experience

I am a teacher with 17 years experience. I have worked in many schools with a huge range of differing needs and backgrounds. I have worked in Pitsea, Basildon, Stock and small villages near to Maldon. I have worked with all age ranges from EYFS to year 6. Currently, I am tutoring Maths to age 7-8, handwriting to age 13 and 11+ comprehension practise to age 10.

I have recently set up a new children's holiday activity club with my business partner and we run on differing days during School holidays to provide a fun, holistic day for children aged 5-11.

I have also provided Schools with free saxophone lessons during lunchtime recreation as I am able to dable a little in reading a bit of sheet music. I have been able to offer the basic skill of practising saxophone fingering and interpret simple notation in order to inspire children to develop and thrive in further music lessons.

Tutoring Approach

I believe every child is different and will learn and develop at their own pace. I will offer lessons that involve all kinesthetic, audio and visual aid. Practical, hands on approach to learning I feel helps to assist children in owning their own learning and will give them the self confidence they need to believe they can achieve and succeed!
