Currently open for tuition starting post end of GCSE maths exams (mid-June) and revision sessions during the summer holidays, to consolidate learning from the previous year in preparation for the new school year.

Hi, I’m 26 and currently studying Chemistry at University but utilise maths often in my degree and I studied maths and further maths at A-level achieving an A grade. I am an experienced maths tutor having tutored whilst studying for the last four years. I now tutor in the study of my family home in Bromsgrove and see students 1:1 or in small groups. I have enhanced DBS and safeguarding training from tutoring in schools. I am more flexible during the daytime, and have experience tutoring for home-schooling, and also tutor evenings/weekends.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience tutoring maths and science GCSE in small groups at two tuition centres as well as one to one privately for years 7-11. I have previous experience volunteering for the charity action tutoring and tutored GCSE maths in a secondary school in Birmingham and year 7/8 maths at a primary school. I am an experienced tutor having tutored for the last four years and I know the GCSE specification very well. Experience with foundation/higher and Edexcel/IGCSE/OCR exam boards.

Tutoring Approach

I usually focus on revising through the curriculum for the year the student is studying, working alongside the topics they are studying at school, to focus on tricky topics. This should help to consolidate their learning and work towards improving the grade they are studying on. For GCSE students I usually recommend going through past papers, working through difficult topics and exam technique, so that they are confident going into the exam. I am also happy to work our way through the syllabus and then past papers to ensure that students reach an exam grade they are happy with.
