I am Prep school teacher with experience teaching in both KS1 and KS2 in independent and state schools. I hold an Education and English degree, PGCE and QTS status and love nothing more than support children to become the very best version of themselves. I have 9 years experience tutoring and 12 years in class experience. I love being in my classroom with the class, helping them to engage, enjoy and excel in their learning.

My extensive background ensures I have thorough knowledge of the curriculum and can identify and tailor the lessons to your child’s needs.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience of working in a primary school setting for both prep and state for the last 11 years. Originally starting out as a teaching assistant in KS1 and KS2 teaching small groups and providing support to children in both literacy, numeracy and phonics. In addition to this I would provide 1:1 and focus group support in phonics and reading. I now teach, support, assess and provide pastoral support amongst other things, for my class. I have worked with numerous families over the years and generally followed most of my families through to year 7. This highlights the bonds and trusting relationships built with the families and the children I work with.

I am available for booster or holiday tutoring. These can be taught individually or also be offered for small groups of children which can work out cheaper per child.

Tutoring Approach

I am a fun, caring and creative teacher, dedicated to providing the right type of support that will stimulate and enable children to both enjoy and succeed in their learning. I usually start by assessing student's and base my teaching on areas that they need building on and encouragement in. I can target key areas should parents have any particular concerns.

Please note I have a 48-hour cancellation policy and a 3 week discontinuation policy if tuition is terminated.
