I provide private structured tuition in North Dorset within a fifteen mile radius of Shillingstone which is between Blandford and Shaftesbury.
Since lockdown I mainly work online using zoom but will consider students whose locality is within a few miles. I am always happy to tutor a student at my location.

Tutoring Experience

My degree is in Biochemistry and I have worked in education for over twenty years. I also have extensive experience of the application of Science, in Industry and the working environment.
I have been tutoring for 10 years and taught in schools since 1990. I presently teach up to degree level with Chemistry and Biological science.and also the sciences up to A level.

Tutoring Approach

My sessions are relaxed but purposeful, aiming to motivate learners as well as improve their grades.
Tuition is offered for KS3 science, CEE, GCSE Science (including Chemistry and Physics and Biology for Separate Sciences), AS and A2 Chemistry, Biology and Physics. I also cover English and Maths to GCSE and English as a second language. I also assess and prepare students for the Common Entrance Exam and have considerable experience in Home Schooling and students with learning difficulties or specific needs.

I will cover all exam boards and sessions will be tailored to the learner's specific needs. I have experience in working with gifted students, those with special needs and adult learners.
I always provide regular progress assessments. Homework and study to supplement sessions will be given on request.
I hold a current Enhanced CRB certification and am QTS qualified.
