I am a primary school teacher currently teaching in a year 6 class. My passion is to educate children and help them reach their full potential in a fun and creative way.
Teaching has always been a life long ambition of mine since I was in school myself. I believe it is the fundamental tool in unlocking the critical and logical thought processes and that the direction that an individual academically progresses in, heavily determines their future successes.
I have been in the education sector for almost 10 years. Having started as a teaching assistant, I took the decision to qualify as a teacher and have been teaching in year 6 since 2018. My degree and experience have given me valuable insight into the different pedagogies that can be applied into teaching and understanding the different ways children learn.
I understand that all children learn at their own pace and learn in different ways. This is why I like to ensure that I get to know my students well, so i can tailor the teaching and learning to engage them. If students are struggling with a certain concept, I make sure that learning is taught in small steps, as if the foundation of a topic is not built then shallow learning will not allow children to reach their full potential. I am a firm believer of developing a positive mindset in education and ensuring that children believe in themselves to reach their full potential.
