I am a Spanish and ESOL specialist with over 25 years of teaching experience in the UK and internationally.

I own a successful Spanish tuition centre in my local area.

I offer tailored language support for learners aged 2–18, as well as adult students preparing for exams or seeking conversational fluency. I have worked as a Head of Spanish, Vice Principal, Spanish Teacher and examiner for AQA and CIE, and I specialize in GCSE, A-Level, EAL/EFL, and early years Spanish.

My teaching includes deep literary and cinematic analysis of key cultural texts such as Lorca’s La Casa de Bernarda Alba, Almodóvar’s Volver, El laberinto del fauno, and Como agua para chocolate, helping students explore themes, context, and stylistic techniques with confidence.

I am an author of Spanish books for children. I am a resource contributor on TES, and I have my own Youtube channel#/k#, called Removed, where I post fun educational Spanish videos for children.

I have lots of pastoral experience and one of my more recent posts was as the Nurture Lead and Pastoral Mentor in a local school. I have qualifications in Young People's Mental Health, and am currently studying a School Counsellor course.

Tutoring Approach

I am a relaxed and friendly tutor. My approach is inclusive, engaging, and results-driven—focused on building language fluency, cultural awareness, and academic success. I try to push my students further than they think they can go, which often results in increased confidence and the ability to try to attempt to use higher language structures than they initially believe they can master. Some of my past students have gone on to be Spanish teachers themselves.
