I am currently a Forensic Psychologist in training which involves conducting research, delivering interventions, delivering training and completing risk assessments. Due to this, I am very familiar with key psychological theories and can support individuals to gain a greater understanding of these.I completed a BSc (Hons) in Psychology with a 2:1 from the University of Manchester in 2015. I have also recently finished an MSc in Forensic Psychology and Mental Health from the University of Manchester and secured a Merit. I completed this part time as I am also employed by the Prison Service, working in the Psychology department and using psychological theories to deliver group interventions with the aim to rehabilitate offenders.
I currently deliver offending behaviour programmes which involves psychoeducational aspects therefore teaching a class of young people (aged 15-18 years). I have also completed the Leadership of Learning module within my undergrad degree which required me to complete a teaching assistant placement within a primary school. Additionally, I have tutored individuals to help them to prepare for their Psychology A-level and for BSc Psychology degrees.
Due to my current employment and knowledge of psychological theories, I am happy to explore each individuals learning style and can adapt the content so that it is delivered in a responsive manner. For example, I am able to deliver content in a more interactive way if this suits the learner.
