I am an enthusiastic linguist; I speak English, French, Japanese and some Spanish.
I am a qualified language teacher with 8 years of experience teaching in secondary schools. I have taught in both the state and private sector, overseas and in the UK.
My tutoring style is a hybrid of direct instruction, flipped, kinaesthetic and games-based learning. I tailor my tuition to the needs of the student and the subject curriculum in their school. I prefer to meet with the parents or guardians of my students before I start tutoring to ensure the outcomes for the sessions are clear and to develop a detailed picture of the student's interests, strengths and areas for development.
I provide students with detailed feedback on their progress and will usually set homework or independent learning tasks to support the student to accelerate their progress. I am happy to provide parents or guardians with written reports on their child's progress.
