I am currently the assessment coordinator in science, which involves the development of assessments and creation of individual, targeted intervention for students, this has proven very successful as our 2018 examination results far surpassed the national average.
Since qualifying in 2009 I have taught, KS3, GCSe science and Alevel Physics to many classes. I have also been involved in many KS2 to KS3 transition projects.
I am also an examiner for physics GCSE, which means I am very farmiliar to the exam requirements.
I bring a passion for my subject.
Students feel confident and encouraged with my caring approach.
My interventions are specific to each student and provide: exam readiness, understanding and confidence.
I try to make the difficult science concepts relatable to the student as this will help develop their understanding and ultimately this should lead to an improvement in results.
