Hello! I’m Leo and I’ve been playing acoustic guitar for 12 years. I am a warm, friendly and energetic person and am ready to help you learn whatever it is you want to. I am an enthusiastic teacher devoted to helping my students develop their style as a guitar player as well as teaching them to play their favourite songs. I teach beginners to intermediate to play chords and use finger-style patterns on an acoustic guitar. I consistently perform at gigs as a guitarist and singer and I write songs constantly! Tutoring Experience

So far I’ve taught mainly kids ages 10-13 how to play acoustic guitar. This was freelance work in Brighton to support my studies. I've also taught a couple of people similar to my age, too, and been paid to teach a few people in their 50s how to play, so I can teach any age! I’m very used to working as an educator and am now ready to take on tutoring as a full time teacher. I also am a Teaching Assistant full time so am plenty experienced in education.

Tutoring Approach

As mentioned, I encourage all styles of play. I really value helping to develop a student’s own style of playing the instrument as they find their own sense of feel/genre/movement. I have helped students write their own songs using tips and techniques that have worked for me and others! I teach on an acoustic guitar, chords and finger-picking.
