I have been teaching Physics at National 4, 5 and Higher since 2016. I am an experienced SQA marker. I am registered with the GTCS and a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme.

Tutoring Experience

Since 2019, I have tutored a number of young people at National 5 and Higher to support them in gaining knowledge, confidence and motivation in the subject and helping them prepare for assessments.

Tutoring Approach

My preference is to meet in person initially to assess a student’s current standard of work and where they would benefit from focussed support. Thereafter, I can work on-line. I use clear explanations, worked examples and practice questions to help students develop a deeper understanding of the course content as well as the best approaches and techniques for problem solving. I use an enthusiastic and friendly approach and I have lots of patience.
