Lily Rose

Hi! I'm Lily, a year 13 from West Yorkshire who is currently applying to medical school. I wish to be an oncologist (a cancer doctor) but since I am applying to Oxford University, the only job I can have to support myself through it is being an online tutor. I currently offer GCSE tutoring after achieving 6 A**s and 3 A*s in my GCSEs and will soon offer A level tutoring, I can do AS level on request for Biology, Chemistry and English Literature as I am predicted 3 A*s. I love to teach and hope to help students gain confidence in their studies and share my expertise in the topic at a more affordable rate.

Tutoring Experience

I have sat my GCSEs and performed extremely well, I am half way through my A-levels and predicted 3 A*s. I have completed an EPQ research project on medical ethics in which I received an A* and I tutor year sevens at my school. I have sat my UCAT exam for entrance to UK medical schools and achieved 3230 band 2 (top 1%) so can offer tutoring for this too as well as supporting students through the application process.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is less of that of a teacher but of a peer, as that is my experience. I wish to share with students my tips and give them advice on phrases and strategies to remember certain information. I can help them with exam questions and content through teaching but in a way where they don't feel they have another lesson but more of a revision session with a friend, giving them support in the areas they feel they need it.
