I am a very experienced teacher and mother of four children who were all taught Latin by me! I enjoy being with young people and relate well to children of all ages. I am hugely enthusiastic about the ancient world and the classical languages.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught Latin and Classical Civilisation at all levels for many years, in University, College, schools and privately. In addition to teaching these subjects to my own children at home, I have taught several of their friends and other young (and older!) people.

Tutoring Approach

Due to my wide experience I have an excellent knowledge of the requirements of the exam boards for Latin GCSE and A Level and use this knowledge to tailor my teaching. I aim to make learning fun and to create a relaxed atmosphere so that my tutees feel free to be totally honest with me and to ask any questions they like.
