I’m an experienced online tutor with over 15 years of expertise in teaching GCSE Sciences (Chemistry and Physics) and A level Chemistry. Holding a PhD in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Physics, I bring a robust academic background to my tutoring sessions.

My decade-long experience as a scientist at a renowned university has provided me with practical insights into the applications of Chemistry and Physics. Additionally, I have been teaching in schools and colleges since 2006, working with students of various ages and levels, from Year 7 through to the sixth form.

Tutoring Experience

In my current role as a Teacher of Chemistry at a large sixth form college, I teach across all years, including KS4 and A Level Chemistry. My online lessons are conducted using the Professional version of Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Whiteboard, Miro Whiteboard and occasionally PowerPoint presentations. This approach fosters an interactive and engaging environment similar to face-to-face instruction.

Tutoring Approach

I specialize in exam preparation and guiding students through complex, wordy questions. To reinforce learning, I provide exam question booklets as homework. Additionally, online tutoring allows my students to reach out to me via Teams for assistance outside of scheduled lessons, at no extra cost.

My passion for teaching is evident in my scientific research background, which enables me to connect theoretical concepts with real-world examples through effective metaphors and analogies.
