Online Psychology and Music Lessons

Hi!

My name is Louise and I am an experienced tutor and teacher with a strong academic and performance background in music. I have taught singing to a wide variety of age-groups, have a degree in music from the esteem University of Manchester music department. I am a classical singer and teach singing in groups and 1:1, so if you're also look for private music lessons do get in contact!

I also have a Masters in psychology and am therefore able to teach GCSE and A-level psychology.

I combine being warm, bubbly and a quick thinker with empathy.

I have experience working with children and young people with special education needs such as ADHD and Asperger's.

Do get in contact during these confusing Covid-19 times for assistance in homeschooling your children, or just keeping their brains warm and distracted!

I am happy to teach vis Skype or Zoom. It would be preferred for a parent or guardian to be in the room while I teach their child.
I look forward to hearing from you,

Louise

Tutoring Experience

3 years teaching groups of children and young people singing.

Tutoring Approach

During these complex Covid-19 times, it's important that children and young people feel that they can bond with their tutor and look forward to sessions. This can create structure in an otherwise chaotic time. I would provide quick homeworks for them to do before our next session and give them listenings and appraisals to do between sessions.

In terms of how I teach, I have a very dynamic approach to teaching. This involves me asking open-ended questions to ensure understanding, asking the student to explain a concept using their own words and, importantly, trying to embed their knowledge in their particular context. I am very patients but also bubbly and excitable. I love working with children and tend to reflect their energy and enthusiasm back at them!
