I am a recent Cambridge graduate with a degree in Natural Sciences, having specialised in Physiology and Neuroscience. I have always had a genuine passion for not only tutoring kids in Biology and Maths, but helping them to enjoy it too! It is my belief that learning and understanding a difficult topic can be an empowering and satisfying process, and is something to be encouraged in the younger generation.

Tutoring Experience

I have 3+ years of experience in privately tutoring students aged 9-16 years. I have both tutored and taught Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Physics and English Language.

Tutoring Approach

I prefer to tailor my tutoring to the individual student. Previously, I have helped students fine-tune their exam technique with past papers, understand complex subjects with more discussion-based teaching, and get ahead of the syllabus for SATs and GCSEs. Having successfully been through the Cambridge application and interview process, I can also provide guidance on writing personal statements, answering Oxbridge interview questions, taking entrance exams such as the NSAA, and I can provide broader guidance in the UCAS application process (such as deciding on specific universities, degrees, etc.).

Most critically, irrespective of the age of my student, it is important to me to listen to my tutee and have an open conversation about what exactly they need out of our lessons, how they learn, and how best I can provide that service as a tutor. I believe that no question is too silly, and all students can make major progress regardless of what grades they currently achieve!
