I am a fourth year Masters in Pharmacy student at Kings College University who has tutored for 4+ years. My students have ranged from 8 to 16 years old. I achieved 7 A*'s and 1 A at GCSEs.

Tutoring Experience

I have tutored at tuition centres for over two years. I have taught GCSE maths, chemistry and kS2 English and maths. Being versatile to adopt a teaching style specified to the needs of each individual student was a key aspect of this role as well as creating an atmosphere of mutual understanding.

Tutoring Approach

On the first lesson I would set the student some questions to assess the level they are at currently. I will then plan my lessons based on this. I teach by explaining concepts using examples in class and then setting some questions for them to do in class, so that I can ensure they have understood the topics. I will also set questions for them to do as homework to further consolidate their knowledge, which we will go over in the next lesson.
