Mairi

I am a teacher because I love learning and I entered into the profession because I want to install a love of learning in children of all ages. During the completion of my B.Ed (Hons), from which I received a first class honours, I obtained an in-depth understanding of the complex processes of learning which have allowed me to develop innovative ways of working with children, putting the learner at the centre of everything I do.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 5 years of experience teaching children from age 5 to 11. I am currently a KS2 teacher at a leading prep school in North West London.

Tutoring Approach

I like to set short and long term targets related to the goals of the tutee. I ensure that my teaching approach suits the tutee's learning style and aim to make the learning challenging but enjoyable. I aim to ensure every child I tutor feels a sense of achievement and pride in their learning.
